The internal structure of things-woodmam

What is wrong with this farmer? He only wanted to make money, a problem of ideological understanding, and in the method of thinking, he lacked the quality of overall thinking, only part, not the whole, only a momentary gain, not the long-term interests, destroyed the ecological balance, contrary to the laws of nature, and was punished.

Second, notice the internal structure of things.

When doing system thinking, pay attention to the rationality of the internal structure of the system. The system consists of parts, and without the parts the system would not exist. And whether the combination of parts is reasonable with each other has a great impact on the system. This is the problem of structure in the system.

So what kind of structure is better? A good structure means that the parts that make up a system are organized in a reasonable way and are organically connected.

There is a big bell in Beijing Dazhong Temple, which was built during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty and has a history of nearly 600 years. This bell has a pleasant sound quality, round and bright, with a bright rhythm, and the sound can be transmitted to 40 or 50 kilometers away. However, its structural proportions have not been measured due to the underdeveloped science and technology in the past. After the liberation, it was calculated that its weight was 46.5 tons with a supersonic tachometer. The composition of the bell is 80.54% copper, 16.4% tin, 1.12% lead and a small amount of other metals. This ratio is recognized as the best ratio for clock making. On the contrary, the "Imperial Bell" made in Russia in 1733, which weighed 193 tons, was cracked on the first ring due to the wrong alloy ratio and structure.

The bell itself is also a system, if the structure of its parts is not reasonable, it will lead to the disintegration of the whole. This shows the importance of structural rationality.

Third, the elements are fully considered.

The system, big or small, is composed of various factors, of which we call the relatively important factors as constituent elements. Similarly, to make the whole system work properly or play the best role, or in the best condition, it is necessary to examine all the elements thoroughly and fully, and give full play to the role of each element, and to collaborate with each other to achieve the purpose.

If we consider or solve the problem, the elements of the system is not carefully examined, or hang one to miss, then in the process of solving the problem will inevitably lose one or the other, or even lead to a total loss.

Next, let's look at a battle that was won by examining all the elements of the system in the process of problem solving - the Battle of Cannae.

Hannibal was the commander of the ancient Carthaginian army and an outstanding military strategist in the ancient history of the world. In his legendary military career, the most glorious page is the Battle of Cannae.

After the outbreak of the Second Punic War, Hannibal led his army through Spain, crossed the snowy Alps all year round, reached the Apennines and captured Cannae, an important Roman granary. The fall of Cannae horrified Rome and assembled a large army of 80,000 infantry and 6,000 cavalry to prepare for a showdown with Hannibal. Hannibal, on the other hand, had only 40,000 infantry and 10,000 cavalry.

Faced with the overwhelming numerical superiority of the enemy, Hannibal analyzed all the elements and made full use of all the conditions available to him for victory.

Before the battle began on August 2, 216 B.C., Hannibal made thorough preparations. Knowing that the wind often blew from the southeast at noon in summer, he first occupied a leeward position and formed 40,000 infantry in a convex half-moon formation with their backs to the southeast. Hannibal had part of the infantry occupy a wide front in the middle of the protruding part of the half-moon, deliberately "showing weakness" to lure the enemy to break through the central part. He also ordered 500 strong soldiers to hide their daggers and prepare to pretend to surrender to the Roman army if necessary, so that they could blend into the enemy line and disrupt the enemy from within. At the same time, Hannibal placed 10,000 cavalry on both sides of the infantry half-moon formation to defend both flanks and prepare to outflank the enemy from behind.

On the morning of August 2, the Roman army made a pre-emptive attack and concentrated its forces on the central bulge of Hannibal's half-moon infantry formation. After a fierce battle, Hannibal ordered 500 soldiers with daggers to run to the Roman line and hand over their swords, spears and shields to surrender. Believing this, the Roman army put them behind the line and continued the attack. At this point, the infantry protruding from the center of Hannibal's convex half-moon formation gradually retreated, making the Romans think that they were routing, so they made the infantry of the following echelon join the battle together and attack. Seeing that the Roman army was all in the pocket, Hannibal hastily ordered the main body of infantry on both flanks to attack their flanks, while the cavalry came from the rear of the flank. At noon, the wind from the southeast was blowing so hard that the Roman soldiers could not open their eyes and could not use their projectile weapons accurately, nor could they avoid the arrows and stones that came downwind from Hannibal's army. At this moment, 500 soldiers pretending to surrender took out their hidden daggers and stabbed the enemy in front of them, then took swords, spears and shields from the dead, and rampaged through the Roman army, killing them in every direction. The Roman army was in disarray when they were struck by this blow, and they fought until darkness and were completely defeated.

In Hannibal's thinking, there were many elements that determined the system of the Cannae War, but he seized the most important ones and thought very carefully, taking into account almost every possible element, such as the wind direction, formation, the fraudulent surrender of 500 soldiers, etc. It can be said that these elements that he took into consideration decided the victory of the war, and they were indispensable.

  3. Self-assessment

For collective activities, you have always considered less important than your own affairs.

For the activities organized by the class, you never participate in them, you think that there are so many people in the class, it doesn't matter if there is one less of you.

Whenever you have to face a complicated matter, you often lose sight of the other.

You often feel as if you are waking up afterwards when you have made a mistake.

You always see the shortcomings of your classmates or other people around you first, but it is difficult to put their strengths and weaknesses together for a comprehensive examination.

You are not good at doing application problems with many conditions, because you do not know how to use them.

If there are several things to do at the same time, you often do not know which one should be done first.

Second, the habit of dialectical thinking

  1. Concepts and connotations

In ancient Greece, there was a story circulating about a young man who was determined to make oratory his lifelong career, a choice that was strongly opposed by his father.

His father said to him: "My son, you must be careful! Your choice of speaking as a lifelong career will not end well. If you tell the truth, the rich and famous will hate you; if you tell lies, the poor will not support you. But since you have to speak, you have to tell the truth or tell lies. Therefore, you will either be hated by the rich and powerful, or opposed by the poor, in short, being a speaker has a hundred disadvantages but no advantage!
